Little Paws Playcare

Founded by local Sydney duo, Emma and Kyle, who together have over 15 years of experience with dogs and a background in positive reinforcement training, Little Paws Playcare was created to provide busy dog parents with a second home for their dogs; filled with enrichment and attention but in a controlled positive environment.

It is our mission to prioritise both safety and comfort so dogs can socialise, exercise, play and return home with a 100% positive experience. To achieve this, Emma and Kyle have worked with a veterinarian and dog behaviourist to learn how to best ensure a positive and healthy environment.

In 2023, Emma and Kyle adopted Bruce the Havanese, who officially became the Little Paws Playcare mascot and loves welcoming all the new doggos to the family!

Why Us?

Home-Style Daycare

We are completely containment-free and dogs are never left on their own. The dogs have access to both inside and outside areas for the duration of their stay. We will only ever crate dogs overnight at the request of the owner.

Behavioural Evaluations

All new dogs must pass a behavioural evaluation to attend playcare - we are looking for any unwanted behaviours (resource guarding, aggression, excessive barking) as well as a level of anxiety where we feel your dog would not be content staying with us.

Indoor & Outdoor

Our indoor area is furnished as a home so there is no sterile feel (although we keep the place clean and hygienic!) and dogs can take their choice of couches. Outside is a fully enclosed garden space with a motorised roof for rainy days!

No Dog Parks Nor Off-Leash

We do not risk the many dangers of dog parks and off-leash walking, so dogs remain at the daycare for the duration of the day. Did you know using their nose will make your dog just as tired as a fast-paced walk!

Small Breeds Only

For both the safety and comfort of new dogs and puppies, we only take small breeds (up to 15kg). This is important to prevent any dogs feeling overwhelmed or fearful at our daycare as well as allowing small dogs to build confidence socialising.

Lots of R&R

We ensure dogs (especially puppies) are not over-stimulated and come inside for regular breaks. Your dog will come home exercised and enriched, but not exhausted.
